Guitarist Hans Holzen has had a varied career as both sideman and bandleader. Hans has lived in Nashville, TN and New York City, NY and now lives in Madison, WI. He grew up playing fiddle and guitar in Nashville where he was heavily influenced by traditional music and in close contact with some of Music City’s finest musicians. After studying jazz performance, Hans hit the road with many Americana and folk acts including Carrie Rodriguez and Chip Taylor (Wild Thing, Angel of the Morning) and violinist/composer Mark O’Connor. He currently plays in Madison with the Shauncey Ali Quartet and leading his own band.
